Think!

Thinking hard about our lives helps.

In 1952, Albert Schweitzer, a polymath and Nobel prize winner was asked: “What’s wrong with men today?” he replied: “Men simply don’t think.”

Look around you and observe how many people think about their lives? And when I say ‘think’, it’s not about what to watch on Netflix or how to plan their next vacation or which new restaurants to try on the weekend- it’s about sitting with themselves and thinking about the direction their lives are taking versus the direction which they want it to take- if there is any and if there isn’t, some more thinking needs to be done.

Thinking about the direction of your life is a conscious act of reflection and course-correction and builds the foundation for everything else. The moment you start thinking about your Health, Relationships and Career & Wealth regularly, all of them start growing like magic.

Should thinking about life once in a week not be the biggest resolution you should take? The only resolution which will keep reminding you about all other resolutions 52 times a year.

Sir Joshua Reynolds said, “There is no expedient to which a man will not resort, to avoid the real labour of thinking.”

Let’s not be those men in the new year and in the years to come!
