There are three paths to discover the work you love:
- The Early Callers
You figured out what you liked and were good at early on – maybe as a child or teen. You stuck with it, kept learning, and slowly built a career around it.
If this is you – lucky you. Keep growing and fly even higher.
- The Late Finders
You didn’t have one clear path. You tried out different things – jobs, projects, side hustles – didn’t give up and slowly found what clicked. Maybe through trial and error, maybe by accident.
If this is where you are – hang in there. Keep trying. You might be slower than others, but you’re still moving forward. And when you do find your thing, you’ll bring so much depth to it.
- The Lifelong Explorers
You’ve done lots of things. Some felt nice, some didn’t. But nothing ever felt like “this is it.” You keep learning, shifting, evolving – but you’re not attached to one label or lane.
If this sounds like you – don’t worry. It’s okay to not have one fixed path. Some people are here to explore, connect dots, and enjoy the ride.
I am a ‘Late Finder’- took me just 38 years.
